Boot Cottage: A Rural Retreat

$article->leadphoto->description

Whilst Visit Suffolk encourages you to enjoy the plethora of activities that the county has to offer, we also understand the importance of choosing the right holiday home for you!

We could go on and on about the wonderful scenery surrounding Boot Cottage - the fields and meadows that seemingly sprawl for miles, the sheer tranquility and peace - but the property’s charming interiors are just as integral to its appeal. Superbly refurbished in 2014, the cottage has been completely revamped to create an ambience in keeping with its surroundings.

Living Room

Upon entering the sitting area, you are immediately met with a sense of calm; comfortable sofas, a luxurious velvet armchair and a tranquil colour scheme make this the ideal room to recline in after long countryside stroll. Pastel green serenity adds a quaint countryside charm, in perfect harmony with the surrounding views. Imagine a cold winter's evening by the roaring log fire, feet up, book in lap - and maybe even your four-legged friend curling up beside you. Heaven!

Kitchen

Whether you want to rustle up a hearty roast dinner or a light summer salad, the kitchen’s classic yet contemporary furnishings impart a timeless comfort. Exposed shelving lends a casual, open vibe, adding to the room’s inviting home-from-home feel. The kitchen provides more than enough room for a family of four to get stuck in - why not cook up a storm with some tasty local produce?

Dining Area

The dining area oozes class; picture lively dinners by candlelight in a quintessential countryside setting. This room combines both old and modern design - wooden beams, vintage furniture and an array of display crockery align perfectly with the property’s cool pastel green walls.

Master Bedroom

Via the staircase in the sitting room (the property has two sets of stairs) lies the master bedroom, providing the ideal setting for lazy mornings and breakfasts in bed. The ensuite bathroom - simple yet elegant - is akin to the home spa you’ve always wished for, an ideal place to relax and unwind. The central piece, a classic bath tub with a gorgeous design, is perfectly placed to view the delightful countryside surrounding the property.

Twin Room

A cosy twin room, accessible both through the master room and a separate set of stairs leading from the dining room, flirts with floral patterns for a splash of colour without encroaching on peaceful tones. The ensuite features an incredibly spacious walk in shower and an old-world basin; it will certainly be tough to decide which bathroom to claim!

The Porch

Hand built in seasoned oak, the quaint porch area is with its oak benches and views over the rolling meadows is the perfect spot from which to watch the sun go down. Recent holidaymakers also commented that it was ideal place for spotting wildlife, including jackdaws and rooks, a Tawny owl, and even bats in the evening.
